Sapphire Fibres Limited began its first Knits Plant in 1995 alongside a Dyeing Unit principally engaged in the manufacturing of knitted fabrics, knitted garments, and yarn processing. This is one of the few vertically integrated plants in the Knits industry, holding a sharp competitive edge by continuously introducing innovation in all of its production processes to ensure the highest possible quality and efficiency.

This is done by making use of all available modern technologies combined with experienced and diversified professionals with the highest level of competence to successfully run all processes and operations smoothly, which in turn, communicates the standards of our quality to customers.

Technology & Infrastructures

Fabric Dyeing Machines have all been imported from Thies (Germany) supporting high temperatures
and soft flow. There a total of 20 machines including 07 sampling machines.
For Finishing Machinery, we have 02 Squeezers and 02 Dyers from Santax (Switzerland), 03 Compactors
from Tubetex (America) and Ferraro (Italy), 06 Brushing Machineries 01 from Lamperti (Italian), 04 from
Riley (Britain) and 01 from JPL (China). Additionally, there are 02 Stenters and 02 Open-Width
Compactors from Monforts (Germany).
Our Quality Control Lab has a Light Fastness Testing Machine (Suntest CPS) from Altas, a Quality Pilling
Machine from James Hal (Midi Martindale) and 01 Wascator machines for washing from Atlas.
An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) has been set up on the unit, with a capacity to treat 100 gallons of
hazardous waste water per hour before drainage.
Apart from all the latest machinery and technology, the Dyeing and Knits Unit has an employee strength
of over 550 – continuously contributing to the success of the Organization.

Health & Safety Initiatives

Our founding father Mr. Muhammad Abdullah started and nurtured his first spinning venture by the name of “Sharmeen Textile” in the 1950s in Dhaka, East Pakistan. Inspired and mentored by his father Muhammad Abdullah, Shahid Abdullah started his first venture outside Sindh in Lahore,
